John Lennon hat laut Interviews aus der Beatles-Anthology zugegeben, dass er zu seiner Beatles-Komposition I am the Walrus vom Album Magical Mystery Tour und Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds vom Album Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band von Alice im Wunderland inspiriert wurde.
